You're Grounded

First sincere thanks to all of you who took a look at my Sandhill Cranes in Flight yesterday. I greatly Appreciate your Comments, Stars, and Favs. I got a notice this morning that it was chosen for the Spotlight. I still don't really understand how all that works but it was my First and realizing that Fame is Fleeting... I'm Happy!

Today's photo was taken at Chapman's Pond here in Gainesville, actually within 5 minutes of my house. The Pond is used for Wastewater Reclamation, is located on Gainesville Regional Utilities Property and is a Locally Renowned Birdwatching Spot. These four Sandhills were behind a chain link fence and were very wary of my approach. They flew off immediately after I took this shot. I counted about 30 or so Cranes around this rather large pond, they are not as Habituated to humans as the ones at the Beef Unit, where I shot my blip yesterday.
