South Shields

I grew up in South Tyneside, I lived in both Jarrow and South Shields. When I was a little boy I used to come down here with my Mam, brother and sister and my Aunty and cousins, some days we sat on the beach and couldn't see our hands in front of our faces is was so foggy, the tide used to go out about a mile or so it seemed an we ate sandwiches with real sand (and egg and tomato), happy days.

the sea front has changed a lot now which is a shame but I have a lot of happy memories.
