Hudhuran Fushi

Today we arrived in the Maldives for a fabulous two-week vacation.

My mother-in-law's 70th birthday is on New Year's Day and she invited all of us to celebrate with her over the holidays at Hudhuran Fushi - a tiny island resort on the North Male Atoll in the Indian Ocean.

We had five little huts on the windward side of the island. Each set among palm trees and flowering bushes at the edge of white sandy beaches, only steps away from the crystal blue waters. Every day the temps averaged about 29C degrees and the water temp was at least 27C.

It was a perfect retreat from winter!
