Honeycomb
Rummaging in the shed for something, I'd forgotten quite what in a senior moment, something fell & brushed past me. There had been a wasps nest in there last summer & it finally fell from the eaves. The nest had only been the size of a tennis ball but it's presence had been enough to keep the girls out if the shed most of last year. The inside of the nest was a silvery paper construction of honeycomb, there was a 'mushroom' of further honeycomb on a short stalk. It's this part that forms most of the picture, with the main part of the nest as background.
