it's raining in the Cape

Still raining here, thank goodness so have blipped the brightest thing in the garden at the moment ... this ginger plant. Aren't they beautiful!
In Ayurveda terms ginger is a virtual medicine chest fixing everything from nausea to flatus and lots in-between. It also helps with sinus and upper respiratory problems and a host of other things too.
Ginger root is so cheap in the stores that I've never had to dig up this clump, but it's handy to know it's there in an emergency ... just as the flowers helped today! ;)
