Tidal defences are in place!

Stopped at the old harbour this morning as the high tide inundated the car park - not an unusual occurrence here but this time there were flood barriers and sandbags around the front doors of the lowest lying houses.
The man on the right viewing the flood from beside his house can also be seen here from another angle but look! - who else is watching from below the bridge where the salt water merges with the fresh?
