My hideaway

Most holiday makers have left our village and today I took the dogs to the beach and spent some time here just quietly looking at the sea. I love this place amongst the rocks - a large flat rock area and a high sloping rock to lean against, where one is completely hidden.
It was Bess' - my large 60 kg dog- first trip to the sea after a spell in hospital. She had a stomach infection and high temperature over the Christmas period. The vets were really worried about her, but after large doses of antibiotics and a drip for two days we asked to bring her home where she settled into her known environment and soon started eating again.
It is still so hot, but remains cloudy so we are hoping for some rain.
