In my Father's house there are many rooms

I've been back to Acocks Green today for the funeral of the Mum of one of my dearest friends.

We were asked during the beautiful and moving service to remember a special moment we shared with her.

I was taken back to last summer when, at a BBQ in my friend's garden my son was being quite badly behaved and I was reacting to it.

This lovely lady said to me:

"Oh leave him, he's alright."

Dear Audrey, May these words seek to remind me to have more patience with my son.
