Christmas lights
In Sweden we celebrate Tjugondag Knut - St Knut's day (or Twentieth Day Knut).
The Christmas decorations are all left up until January 13th, when there is a party to 'dance out' Christmas - the tree is taken down, chocolate decorations eaten and the end of the Christmas season is celebrated.
When I first moved to Sweden I thought it was rather odd to leave the decorations up so long, especially since most people have real trees that drop their needles all over the place! But now I understand why - it's so dark just now that we need all the lights and decorations we can get to see us through to the spring ;-)
