The Grand old duke of York

Took the girls to a party this morning at the ceramic experience in Marchmont. A painted a frog and R painted a hovercraft. I managed to sneak out for a wee while to get to Eddies Fish shop. They had the head of a massive swordfish.

After that we had some time in the big Meadows playpark. these places always intrigue me. There was one bloke who would just not let his children play without shouting at them, poor wee kids. At one point he told his wee boy sit and then instantly told him to stand up.

We heard drums in the distance so we went over to what it was. It was a celebration of the start of womans voting. It was good to see people in old costume. The atmosphere was very friendly.

These folks were right at the end of the procession.
