Hydrangea paniculata 'The Swan'
A bit of an emergency, late night blip. My hydrangea in the last of the light, hence the Photoshop tinkering!
It is unusal with these cone-shaped flowers so I googled it and it appears to be this one complete with "billowy panicles* of green and white flowers".
*A panicle is a compound raceme, a loose, much-branched indeterminate inflorescence with pedicellate flowers (and fruit) attached along the secondary branches; in other words, a branched cluster of flowers in which the branches are racemes. You learn something new everyday!
Zane and Sunshine returned from their Nelson/The Sounds/West Coast wanderings tonight. Happy and tired and glad to see a hot shower and a comfy bed with clean linen I suspect.
