This past summer holiday has been extremely favorable as far as sunny, hot days were concerned. The tourists and holiday makers could not have wished for better beach weather - it was HOT!

However, the gardens suffered from the lack of summer rains, and when dark clouds made a welcome appearance, we kept our fingers crossed..

Since most vacationers had departed for home by this time, a good downpour would be welcomed. Not to be - only a few drops.
