New England big chill

It looks cold but today was the warmest day we've had in a while, temperatures in the + range for the first time in days. That accounts for the misty air. The past few days and nights of - temperatures have resulted in the bay waters freezing. Great shards of ice protrude around rocks where the tide has lifted the ice sheet and slowly lowered it. This morning the half mile wide channel between the island and the town was frozen right across.
