High speed winds with snow crystals fast enough to sting the skin. Once we started walking down the summit to Force Crag mine we got blasted by some of the most powerful wind I've ever experienced, simple tasks such as tying your shoe lace became impossible and moving was a challenge. Here is Causey Pike from the top of Grizedale.
