WTF Giant Caterpillar

I went into the back yard to dump my kitchen waste into the compost and saw a branch had fallen to throw in there with it well, on the branch was this GIGANTIC Caterpillar. I admit I used profanity when I saw him. I'm a little afraid of bugs even though I know they are pretty harmless. Well, I suffered 4 misquito bites in order to get this shot. (I normally don't linger long in my yard because the misquitoes are sooo horendous.) If I don't get West Nile Virus or Encephalitis then the shot was worth it.

Side note it was a strange day. Reported some suspicious activity to the police today involving a child. I think I really felt called to do it because of the Jaycee Dugard story. I'm sure more people took notice of her in that 18 year time frame but, they just didn't have the balls to report it. I know that kids and animals are victimized more than we realize because either they don't yet have a voice to speak out to someone, or nobody is listening, or they don't know that what is happening to them is wrong. Please be the voice for a child or animal if you suspect or witness abuse.
