back-blip

It was Christmas mark ii today as Mum, Dad, Donald and Laura descended upon us. They arrived, unpacked the cars and I made everybody some breakfast. Then it was down to the serious business of opening presents, which took just under two hours... Every time we thought we were finished we would find another bag. Amelie was absolutely over the moon from her plastic butterflies (basically the only thing she had asked for for Christmas) from my Mum and Dad. Isaac got quite invovled in the opening of presents too. He unwrapped some kind of noisy plastic toy from my Gran and pushed it all the way over to the other side of the room, walking with it. Then proceeded to play with it for a while. We ate, drank (toasted Laura and Donald's engagement!), laughed and were merry for the rest of the afternoon. I did a roast chicken for dinner and we all squeezed around our tiny table. A lovely day.
