Cresting a wave

Dave was a roofer who stayed here for a while doing odd bits of slating and building maintenance. He was known as 'Dave the Boat' because this is where he lived. Of course that was before the deck gave way, and before the little wheelhouse had blown off in a gale one January. But while he was there it was very comforting to see the smoke of his stove curling from a makeshift chimney.
