Back round to former hairdresser to the stars for my six-weekly cut, blow-dry, wine and emptying of bank account.

Last time I was there I met Charlie, a timid wee spaniel who skittered about on the floor and scarpered if you even looked at her. This time she was much the same but after two hours of crawling around she finally came up to me.

It's amazing what you can fit in an M&S bag when no-one is looking....
