Shower Flowers

Today is a good news/bad news day! The good news is that Jennie is staying 2 more days. The bad news is that they're predicting temperatures of MINUS 43 degrees (F), beginning during the night, so almost everything is closed already for the next 2 days......the schools have all been closed, many businesses, offices, buses & trains, so she has no way to get back to Houston until Wed. when the trains will be running again. Unfortunately (well, actually it's fortunately) the hospitals don't close, so I still have to go to work! The weather people are all saying it's the coldest temperature in 18 years......... but I remember as a kid, when I had to walk 10 miles to school in freezing temperatures, that it was just as bad--oh wait, that's right--my mom drove us & we only lived about 2 miles away--never mind!! HaHa!
Due to the cold, I've blipped one of the flowers left from Jennie's shower last week--they still look great--thank goodness--as you may see more of them the next 2 days!
The Packers play the San Francisco 49-ers at 3:30 today at Lambeau Field--predicted temperature on the field--17 degrees below zero--if they win, they'll continue on their quest to reach the Super Bowl--It was the 49-er's who knocked us out of the playoffs last year...here's hoping for a different outcome THIS year! :)
