The beholder's eye

Frosty morning along the Grouse road....

When I woke up this morning there was the most amazing sunrise...the mackerel sky was navy and dark crimson...truly stunning! needless to say it had began to fade rapidly by the time I managed to get my camera, and fit the wide angle lens. It was then, as I stood outside my house in my dressing gown I realised it was frosty!
So I quickly got dressed, defrosted the car, and set out on a mini tripette.
The Grouse road was beautiful, it has amazing muted colours, made all the better by being frosty, I do love Sussex!
The stallion I blipped back in April was in his field, he is sooo handsome, and my favourite field looked wonderful too.
But in the end I chose this picture of a field of cows feeding for today's blip. I love the symmetry of the cows round the feeder, and the colours in the farm and fields behind, tinged slightly blueish by the frost.
I know it is very similar to the picture I blipped on September 21st, but that was in Barnes Green in autumn, pleasingly different to this offering of the Grouse road in winter.
Back to work tomorrow, if only it would stay fine and sunny...those extra daylight minutes would make all the difference!
