So we ran this Christmas card...

...thing on Facebook to see how many likes we could get on a photo. The idea was that rather than send out loads of Christmas cards for every like we got we would donate 1 euro to the local dog refuge. Well it turned out like this -

Thanks to all the likes on our Christmas cards we went to make our donation to the dog refuge today! Decided the best option was to "dog parent" one of the dogs. These are the dogs that are too old or ill to be adopted and taken home so have to stay at the refuge for the rest of their lives. We were relieved to hear that they never euthanise their dogs. Could not decide which one to pick so ended up "god parenting" all three! Safari the little beagle quickly bonded with Sue, Ecrou the Grand Berger is adorable and Farrow the Husky cross will now be getting regular visits from us with dog food, treats and for dog walks. Thank you for making the lives of these dogs just a little bit easier and if you come to visit let us know if you want to go and give them a pat! Happy New Year to you all. Sante Micaela and Sue xx

This is Ecrou the Grand Berger poor chap has been in this cage for 5 years - he will be getting more treats and regular walks from us from now on!
