Self-Awareness

Pigeons, like budgerigars, have a very strong sense of self.
That is; they know that they are pigeons.

They are also the only bird that can take off into flight directly upwards.

With this and several other positives I have recently gleaned of this bird, I shall be treating them in a much less irate manner.
