Who knows what Winter will bring?

The redbud tree stands bare of her heart shaped leaves scattered under the snow. Who knows what this winter will bring? If her roots will hold ground. If her body will stand strong as the wind pushes her around and Winter mix sends shivers of ice up her spine and deliciate branches.

This little bending thing is more beautiful in her sanguine vulnerability
than in full crimson bloom.
