Bark

This is the bark on the huge gum tree in our garden.

I spent an hour or so this afternoon repairing the box on the back of my bike and I was just screwing it all back together when we were hit with a freak gale force wind accompanied by an intense shower. I ducked inside for cover and when I emerged a few minutes later (when it had all cleared up), I was taken with the intense red of the wet bark.

It all flakes off all over the place, but it's a beautiful tree. Back to work tomorrow - I'm optimistic about what's going to happen in 2014, so let's get started I say!
