Art of Oak

Don't want to come over all bleak midwinter, but I'm seriously thinking about making January black and white.

Dull (weather) and unsettled (me) day. Too windy for skiing. A physical therapy session in the afternoon, every one talking about the big storms back east (hah!) and the terrible weather forecast for Monday in Wisconsin (huh!). Schools closed already in anticipation, here and in Minnesota.

Friday night traditions still upheld - a glass of wine (two, actually) and a monster cheeseburger at the village bar, old Friday night friends remembered, wish they could be here.

What is it about oak leaves? They stay stuck on the tree all winter until a brisk wind brings a bunch of them down so they can mess up the snow.
