Jimmy

This is Jimmy, he belongs to one of my very best friends. I love him!

Jimmy has diabetes, so he gets a shot twice a day. Of course, cats don't necessarily understand routines, so sometimes he gets confused. I wanted to watch, and he absolutely freaked out having somebody else in the little closed bathroom. He hissed and ran, and my friend said she had never heard him hiss at anybody before! (I didn't hear him, so I reassured her that it was quite all right!) He took about 10 minutes to creep back up to me, and about 20 minutes after that we took him back in the bathroom for his shot. He didn't even flinch!

You can't tell from this picture, but Jimmy is actually a Manx. It's so strange for me to see him wiggling his butt around, but my friend says she thinks it's strange when she sees a cat WITH a tail, because she's had Jimmy for so long! She did mention that he never "sits up" - I think it's because he doesn't have that tail to balance!

He loves being held, too - I haven't had a cat that loves being held in a long time.
