Holy Isle Breaker

I took advantage of what I suspect to be a temporary lull between storms to walk along the flotsam-strewn beach between Seamill and Ardrossan this afternoon while a few waves were still rolling onto the shore. I particularly liked how this roller broke over a rock to mirror the shape of Holy Isle in the background, with the golden light illuminating the next smir of rain to cross the Firth of Clyde from Arran. I used a Nikon D300s with the zoom lens set to 120mm and a shutter speed of 1/125 second which is enough to freeze the water drops, but still preserve a sense of motion.
