A few remaining colorful leaves

Despite regular walking over the last 6 months since arriving in France, my weight has been sneaking up again, as has Roger's, and obviously Christmas hasn't
helped (!), so this morning we joined a nearby gym and went for a work-out. I was quite pleased with how I did, since I hadn't been for so long. Unfortunately, although the morning had been quite sunny, by the time we got out for an afternoon walk, it had clouded over. We checked out a new area near the river in Chartrettes, which I thought would be good for bird-watching, which it was, except that the birds were a fair way off and the light was poor, so although we could see them with the binoculars, all I got for a blip were these few leaves on the side of the path!
