Skating siblings

The temperatures warmed up today to something more tolerable, so it was a good one to go skating. We will be getting a dump of snow, followed by wind and frigid temperatures starting tomorrow afternoon, so it was an opportunity to be seized. R needed larger skates and we decided to go with hockey skates over figure skates since she isn't a figure skater and has wide feet which are easier to fit into hockey skates. When I was a kid figure skates were the only kind sold for girls, but times have changed for the better.

It took her a little bit to adjust, but we had fun at the outdoor community rink. A Saturday well spent.
