a timeless gift

This evening my son Zach (Z-man) and I were mounting a Lowrance fish finder on Z-man's kayak and we found this book in the basement.

My father (Bob senior) gave this book on fishing to Zach when he was only six. He is now twenty two and about to graduate with a degree in biology. He has been studying ecology and is applying to graduate school in fisheries and marine biology.

Bob has been dead several years, but I'm sure he would have loved to see how Zach's passion for fishing has evolved into a career dedicated to understanding the natural world.
