Lights Out

For the first time I can remember, I've taken the Christmas decorations down early and this is a final shot of the tree minus its ornaments and before I switched the lights out. I liked the reflection in the window and the contrast with the fir outside.

It was the first dry spell we've had for days, so it seemed a good idea to take the tree down and deal with it outside, rather than when it's pouring again. Some people can hardly wait for this day, but I always think the house looks so bare without all the colourful bits and pieces.

There is now a huge pile of boxes to go back in the loft until next year, but that is someone else's job - I've done my bit:-)
