I am afraid that I am unable to tell you what these interesting trees are, but one day when it is drier I could stray from the path and see if a sign is posted nearby.

Perhaps they are the Dogwoods called Cornus Sanguinea 'Anny's Winter Orange?

This area has a huge variety of plants and is beautifully managed. That didn't completely overcome the weather today … it was WET!
