A Bright Sight on a Dank Day

Left Italy for home in Switzerland in a snowstorm, by the time we emerged from the Grand St Bernard Tunnel it was raining hard. Rain falling on snow is so depressing. Faced with a long, busy drive to Winterthur we stopped off for lunch with our close friends Hilary and David. I just had a chance to snap this shot through the gloom. After an excellent meal we drove north along a congested autoroute to home without once turning off the windscreen wipers.
