REFLECTION

After two solid days of unrelenting wind and rain we just had to get out - so as it was still raining, we took the car into the town so that we could replenish our food stocks without getting too wet.

Mr. HCB came on home while I wandered around buying a few more bits and pieces and on my way home through the town centre noticed a beautiful sunset.

Outside one of the shops there was a huge puddle with two little ones running in and out of it - thankfully both were wearing wellies. I asked their parents if it was all right to take a photograph, and after explaining about Blip they were quite happy and this fits the bill well for DDW's January Challenge for REFLECTION.

I did say to the parents that it was good to hear them encouraging their children to go into the puddle, as so many tell their children to keep out of the water - but I ask you, what are wellies for, if not to jump in puddles? And if you can splash someone nearby in the process, so much the better; they had such fun and actually, if I had had wellies on, I would have been in that puddle with them!

Be a reflection of what you would like to see in others.
If you want love, give love,
if you want honesty, give honesty,
if you want respect, give respect.
You get in return what you give.
