Old and new

First day back in the office after the Christmas break. The buses were only running a Saturday service so I had to be up and ready earlier than usual to get a lift to a more convenient bus stop.

The trains were almost empty and I had the rare luxury of a double seat to myself on the way in. Nice quiet day in the office with still a skeleton crew. Spent most of my lunch time queuing to exchange a hoody son number one which wasn't the right size.

The facade of the old Middlesex hospital has been preserved in Nassau Street, round the corner from work. The new buildings behind are now poking up above the old walls. It will be interesting to see what it looks like when it is finished.

Lovely peaceful trip home too and managed to catch the best bus despite the changed timetable.
