Close-ish encounters of the 4 legged kind

Fed-up with festering indoors, we studied the Met office maps, donned our wellies and grabbed the window between downpours for a walk.
Didn't see many people, but the birds were a twitter, and we came across a pair of deer crossing our path.
A little further on, we had to dive into the bushes as a riderless horse galloped through at full pelt. Unfortunately both of us had stood with our mouths open as he approached, rather than going for the camera. Hence a pic of the deer :-)
btw, The rider arrived sometime later, breathless but unharmed.
