Two oil paintings by Paula Tod - fantastic surprise birthday presents from Tom and Lu. They're fabulous paintings, and this Blip does them no justice at all...

... but it matches my mood today - heavy-hearted. A Facebook friend died in the early hours. A well-known (in the folk world) musician, I was surprised when he asked to be a FB friend a few years ago, though I've never met him in 'real' life. I've enjoyed reading his posts and comments, and am deeply saddened by the death of this kind, gentle man.
