Mallorcean Bougainvillea

I took out my Emergency Blip Box this afternoon (a box of small items I've collected for use on a day just like today).

Hubby and I managed to get out in the car, using various odd routes due to the flooding, and went to the supermarket. As always, I had taken the camera in the hope of getting a blip for today. On the way home I took pictures of the flood waters, the local bridge struggling under the weight of debris collecting by the arches and, of course the wildlife in our garden. All were unimpressive, so the Blip Box it was.

This is a dried flower from the bougainvillea bush beside the villa we stayed in during June/July in Mallorca. I popped it onto a smoked coloured mirror and passed the light of a torch through the petals.

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments, stars and hearts on my Bingo capture of last night. You're a lovely bunch of blippers.

Enjoy your weekend and stay safe.
