Cherry cake to die for !

It has been a bit wet and windy today and all my photographic ideas went a bit out of the window so whilst mulling over the situation with the obligatory cup of coffee I thought why not have a bit of cake. .......
This cherry cake is made for me every year for my birthday by a dear elderly friend ... she didn't think she would be able to make one again .... BUT she made one for my December birthday ..... I am so lucky sooooo I thought I would share it with everyone ..... feast your eyes and enjoy - it is scrumptious ...trust me !
