Life, The Universe and Everything
I'm sure you couldn't help but notice that Google dedicated its homepage today to commemorate the 57th Birthday of the Barcode. Which was nice.
I had a play around with creating a barcode based around today's date too. I tried reading it but it made no sense to me; medium black, thin white, thin black, thick white, thin black... what's that all about then? Also got myself in front of the camera for the first time on Blip - don't expect to see that happening too much!
Coincidentally, it was also my birthday too. Not quite 57, but the title to this post does offer a clue. A nice evening with the wife and kids and a bit of a thrash on Guitar Hero 5 on the Wii, all four of us, guitar, bass, drums and vocals. Nailed 'You Give Love a Bad Name', booed off the stage with a pitiful attempt at 'Spirit of Radio'. (Couldn't get past the guitar intro!). Lashings of Ginger Beer too (Crabbie's Alcoholic Ginger Beer that is - finally tracked down a local supplier) and a nice slice of birthday cake. It's still a 'school night' though so no over indulgence on the alcohol front, getting far too old for all those shenanigans.
Cheers folks!
