Aberdeen's finest

The village of Footdee was laid out in about 1809 and occupies an isolated spit of land to the south east of Aberdeen's city centre.
The regimented squares have been variously described as a cross between the neo-classical aspirations of Aberdeen and the close-knit fishing communities of the north-east.
A very grand description indeed considering that it is a delightful example of the fun folk can have in decorating and enjoying the streets and houses they inhabit.
Come Xmas the windows are all lit up for all to enjoy.
