Manchester

We had a brilliant day out in Manchester. This is the view from the top of the Clock Tower in Manchester Town Hall. It's a magnificent building, it looks more like a cathedral than a civic building. We saw all the workings of the clock and we went up to the top where the biggest bell, Great Abel, is struck by a hammer on the hour. This was spectacular as it was 12 o clock when it struck. We were instructed to put our fingers into our ears and it was still very loud. Top marks to NewManchester Walks who organise the tour.
