Back to reality

A very strange day - with emotional highs and lows. Strangely the hospital visit went smoothly and I came away feeling really quite upbeat and full of confidence of what and how I will face and deal with the next few weeks.

Today made me realise yet again, that despite all the total crap we have both been through medically, I am indeed very fortunate.

One of my oldest and bestest friends has had her world turned upside down yet again today in unpleasant circumstances and now has to face life on her own again with all the heartbreak and uncertainty that can bring.

I just wish Staffordshire and Devon were a bit nearer and I could be some sort of help practically. But they aren't. Bugger...
