Dave up a ladder

The winds have played havoc all over the UK.
Luckily Bakewell has survived relatively unscathed.
We lost a slate a week or so ago and so have been subject to Chinese water torture from water dripping into our bedroom.
It's now been sorted by local roofers Dave and Trevor.
It's also amazing how many people you chat to at the bottom of a ladder, it has a similar effect on humans as headlights do to rabbits.
One of my favourite stories came from a guy who lived down the road and had lost a few slates the other night, he was awaiting his roofers to arrive and in the meantime had put an umbrella up through the hole to staunch the flow of water
