The Stables.

A bright but cold day and we stopped by these stables so that I could get a picture. We were on our way to visit friends for a barbecue, although we ate indoors. Riding is a popular pastime here and there are many ranches nearby. One of my favourites was The Flying 'W' working ranch which sadly was destroyed in last summer's forest fires, but luckily the livestock was rescued. We used to go for Chuck Wagon dinners with a country music band playing, as it catered for visitors too. They told us that the coffee was made the original way by straining it through an old sock, not used I hope !!
