On one leg

Barely a pause at work today. I'm glad its now the weekend, and my colleagues are back from leave next week. One week left at the hospital, and then we welcome son and his family from Sydney for two weeks. Not quite the complete break I'd anticipated, but there you go.

After getting back to the beach this evening I went down to the water's edge as the tide is coming in, and hunted birds. During the day I had photographed two more species, and before getting this of a Variable Oystercatcher (in the black phase), I managed a photograph of two New Zealand Grey Ducks (Parera). A bit soft, so I'll wait a better quality shot.
