Ptarmigan

A wild day on Cairngorm with friends. We managed to walk into Coire an Lochain and then up the ridge to the west before descending into Lurcher's Gulley and back to the car park - not a great distance but the plateau would have been too wild. It was interesting however as we met some ski tourers, saw a mountain hare who was too quick for me to blip and these ptarmigan. Not a great shot but the wind and spindrift made taking any photos difficult. Rather reminiscent of trying to take pictures of the storms a few weeks ago! SOLOH had bought in a curry and a soak in the bath and all was well with the world!
