The Moon and Venus

It's been a mild day, felt like it was Tuesday really.
It was showery in the morning, but it was mostly sunny :-)
This was a surprise seeing the moon and more especially Venus, particularly as it is so low from my vantage point.
This part of the sky is above Abriachan ( a wee bit down the great glen on the road to Drumnadrochit) from where I am, it's mostly cloudy as I normally see it.
Five minutes after this Venus had set.
So it was very fortunate, the moon was starting to show a hint of earthshine which I hoped to catch a glimpse of.
Unfortunately this part of my sky resorted to type and clouded over as earths shadow drew across the sky.
All my stellar friends were on view earlier too, but it's clouded over now. Such a pity I had hoped to see a few Quadrantid meteors tonight.
Not to be though.
More bad weather on the way, so that's them for another year
