Ornamental Leaves, Grosvenor Square, London

Day 2 of 365. My first day back at work after Christmas which, for me, meant getting up at the Ungodly Hour (5.30 a.m.) to face the winter darkness and the walk up to my train station for the morning commute into London Victoria. Of course being the first day back at work the sun came out so I decided to take my camera for a jaunt and I ended up in Grosvenor Square, home to the soon to depart American Embassy. In the centre of the square there are some striking ornamental ponds that have been temporarily drained and are full of leaves. I particularly liked the way the usually invisible fountain stood out against the autumnal colours.
