McDuff's Monument

I haven't been out for the last couple days - neither the gloomy weather nor my cough were encouraging. However this morning looked much brighter and the wind had dropped, so Mrs P and I walked to Scone via Quarrymill and then up Murrayshall Hill to McDuff's Monument.

The day was remarkably mild and we walked without hat and gloves most of the time. It was windy on the hill, though, and we were glad of the shelter from the monument when we sat to eat our sandwiches.
